Meet the Principal

Laura Greier

Greetings Spring Creek Families,

It is a privilege and honor to be the new principal at Spring Creek Elementary School and work alongside such a proud, supportive and collaborative community.

At Spring Creek, we believe in a growth mindset and teach social and emotional learning in a rigorous and engaging academic environment. Your child will be nurtured and given the skills to thrive! The best part of my job is making connections with students and seeing them acquire new skills daily as well as supporting teachers!

I have 21 years of experience working in the field of education in various teaching and administrative positions, pre-kindergarten through grade 12. I earned my first master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and a second master’s degree in administration. I have my teaching degree for grades K-9 as well as an endorsement in early childhood and special education. Education and leading student achievement is my passion, as I myself am a lifelong learner.

I have lived in the Rockford area my entire life and am proud to be part of this community. My husband, Seth, is also an educator and we have two incredible daughters Emma and Ava. As a family, we enjoy being outdoors and taking advantage of the incredible markets and parks our city has to offer! We enjoy traveling and spending time together looking for new adventures.

♥️An acronym I will forever live by is F.A.M.I.L.Y= “Forget About Me, I Love You!”♥️

Family means EVERYTHING to me and I am beyond excited that you are part of our Spring Creek family! I view parents/guardians as partners in the education of their child. You are always welcome at Spring Creek to visit or volunteer. If you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to call me at 815-654-4960.
